About Our Passion.

Family, Bushveld, and A Thrill for Hunting

The Story of
Our Legacy

A shared passion for hunting between father and son.
It all began with a dynamic father-and-son duo who shared a deep passion for the untamed African wilderness. Tyityaba Hunting Safaris is a second generation outfit that was built on strong family values, which is why we believe that hunting is so much more than just bringing home a trophy. It’s about the thrill of the chase, the camaraderie amongst friends, and creating formidable bonds deep in the heart of nature so that those memories can forever be cherished. We offer unparalleled experiences where people from all walks of life arrive as guests and leave as family. Our commitment to sustainable and ethical hunting practices has ensured the pristine upkeep of our hunting grounds and its inhabitants. Thanks to these consistent efforts, we can proudly say that our area produces some truly world-class wildlife.

Two contrasting landscapes, yet both offer unforgettable experiences.

Set along the Great Kei River, our two areas offer hunters a vastly different yet equally thrilling experience. This majestic river is known for its rich history and, today, is a popular spot often visited by fishermen. Winding through lush valleys and diverse ecosystems, this river holds exciting adventures for hunters and nature enthusiasts alike.

Southern Area

Our southern area spans across thousands of acres of stunning coastal wilderness and kilometres of great Kei river frontage. The Great Kei and Kubusi Valleys are home to world class kudu, nyala, bushbuck and buffalo. You might even find yourself with a fly rod in hand along the great Kei river. Experience untouched wilderness and superior trophy quality.

Northern Area

Our northern area is what we like to call the backcountry hunter’s dream. With limited access and towering mountains, this property can be considered an free-range hunting paradise. In this area, you find a collection of charming cattle ranches located at the confluence of the Thomas and great Kei rivers. This remote region promises sightings of stunning cape kudu, eland, mountain reedbuck and other plains game, providing guests with an exceptional opportunity to escape to the back country in pursuit of the beautiful species endemic to this region. Free-range hunting is seasonal and endemic species are hunted between June and August.
